Wonder Buffalo

In the Volume; doing character motion for the VR

The Wonder Buffalo VR Experience.
It was just another Saturday listening to records and drawing comics, until Ann was challenged by an archnemisis: her mother. Tired of being called a fat lazy water buffalo, Ann stands up for herself & discovers the super heroine within.

Director: Christine T. Berg, Screenwriters: Christine Berg, Simon Shterenberg

Wonder Buffalo will be part of the VR experience at SXSW!

Brix & the Bitch - Final Cali Festivals (Catalina & Napa)

WE REACHED THE END OF THE ROAD

Two years ago my friend & feminist director, Nico Raineau, asked me to join him in creating a short female-driven fight film about love existing in an unconventional place.  He & I, along with Dre Swain & the Brix & the Bitch crew, went on a collaborative journey to make one of the most rewarding films I've ever had the joy to work on.  So, you can imagine my mourning pride as I inform you that our film is now retiring from her international festival tour.  Our last two screenings were here in California.  We won an Award for Excellence at the Catalina Film Festival, and closed the tour in the vineyards of the prestigious Napa Valley Film Festival.  In total we screened at 40 film festivals internationally and won 21 awards!  The success is in direct correlation to the passion, dedication, & talents of everyone involved.

The Mourning & The Pride

All great things must come to an end, and although Brix & the Bitch may be a fictional narrative, the concepts within it are intimately grounded in our reality.  As I watch our little-film-that-could, especially post haze of our recent election results, I can't help but notice the topical relevance behind the story that we told.

We champion love that overcomes adversity, regardless of race or sexual orientation.

We empower women to be strong in a male dominated world.

We encourage Action to counter the forces that wish to oppress us.

Brix & the Bitch is a heart-driven reflection of the willpower necessary to face the world we live in today.  It affirms that yes, we may get beat up along the way, but ultimately our Love for each other & our belief in a better life must motivate us to fight past the struggles currently preventing it...

It is up to us to cleverly fight so that the world will accept us for who we are.

Nico did a phenomenal interview with Talent Monthly which acutely highlights this point;

"I believe in social justice, I believe in acceptance, and I believe that civil rights should prevail over bigoted political policies. If you want to see change in this world than it’s important to contribute positively, otherwise you’re not doing anything to make actual progress. "

~Nico Raineau, interview with Talent Monthly

To the Brix & the Bitch team, as well as those who've offered their admiration and support, thank you.

Thank you for collaborating.  Thank you for your friendship.
Thank you for badass physical feminism.

This Is Us

This is Real.  This is Love.  This is Life.

...That WAS ME.

A set of triplets united by birth & family lead divergent lives as a society ruled by patriarchal gender & racial structures shapes the world around them.  Feeling ill prepared for the obstacles that lie ahead is common for all three, however not until they choose to seek solace in one another do they finally understand their worth as a family.  In 'Three Sentences' Kate battles her self image & decides to join a posh weight management camp, where I give her a glimpse at serenity.

Colony

Collaborate or Resist

When L.A. is invaded and occupied by outside forces, the foremost choice for all residents is to collaborate or rebel.  To rebel is to invite merciless enforcement by the Redhat army.  Have you ever wondered who gave the Redhats their mandate?

CRUCIBLE - Amazon video game

Amazon makes video games!!  Did you know that?  I sure didn't up until recently.

I was hired to perform motion capture for one of the characters in their upcoming Twitch integrated PC game, CRUCIBLE.

Amazon bought Twitch in 2014 with intentions to expand their reach, & they 'aint messing around.

Crucible is set in a hostile alien world where up to twelve friends can make or break alliances & battle until the last survivor left standing.

There's also an element of 'The Dungeon Master' as a 13th player interacts and alters the environment unexpectedly.

SWORDS, MAGIC, & MAYHEM in Motion Capture

I'VE BEEN IN HARDCORE TRAINING MODE

It was Incredible learning from The Mocap Vaults gurus, Richard Dorton & TJ Storm whilst training in the volume at Rouge Mocap!

Swords, Magic, & Mayhem gave me a playground to incorporate my weapons & acting training, thus synthesizing them into a new and exciting medium.  I even got some practice conjuring soulful elemental spells before titular destruction ensued.  Blending dialogue, choreography, character, & safety all while mindfully delivering movements according to an animator's needs can be challenging - if you let it!  With more knowledge comes more self assurance.  I'm proud of the quality with which I pursue this work, and I'm grateful & elated to share another of my eclectic joys with you.

Not a week after I finished training with The Mocap Vaults did I acquire a new mocap manager!

Happy to join forces with A-Max Motion Capture Management.  They represent talent with a wide variety in skill sets, booking them in all aspects of the motion capture industry; video games, commercials, film, demo's testing, & trade shows.

Pitch - FOX

Kylie Bunbury stars in this new FOX show centered around the first female pitcher in Major League Baseball.

In Episode 2, I grill her coach for his sexist comments about his newest most controversial recruit.

Westworld - HBO

I had a phenomenal time working on the pilot of Westworld, an HBO series inspired by the 1973 film starring Yule Brenner.  The story centers around a futuristic theme park populated by anthropomorphic machines on the cusp of sentience.

With JJ Abrams producing, & Jonathan Nolan along with Lisa Joy weaving together increasingly complex story arcs, Westworld is likely to be one of the most talked about shows this season.

Brix and The Bitch veers the audience down a path they never would have expected because it is essentially a love story about two women and a simple twist turned this movie from ordinary into extraordinary.
— Movies Over the Rainbow
β€˜Brix and the Bitch’ delivers a very heavy and excellent plot twist that isn’t just a fine turn of events for the climax, but is something of a poetic testament to the romance that ensues on-screen.

Everyone is on their game here, from star Swain, the equally stellar Alex Marshall-Brown, and Raineau whose filmmaking prowess culminates in to a bone crushing martial arts film.

Swain and Marshall-Brown are tremendous

I return as guest host for my third episode of After the Hype leaping into the superhero realm of Batman vs Superman; the Extended cut.  I'm clearly Team Wonder Woman & used my geeky womanly wiles to bring my cousin Armond Richards in on the fun!  It was a thrill to make this a family affair.

VAIN - fka Pulse

Welcome to Bite Club!

Below is BTS footage of our time onset filming with director Maggie Levin, the cast, & crew.  A bloody good time was had by all!

Please Note; The series now goes by VAIN, but it was formerly known as PULSE.  In deference to the tragedy in Orlando, FL we opted to embrace a different title.

New Reel!

My adventure continues, and I'm jubilantly riddled with The Feels as I see how my reel has grown over the years.  It's not something that I hear talked about often, but like a CV, I believe that my reel is a culmination of the years of devotion I've put into my career.  I can't possibly show you everything I've ever done.  That footage is voluminous & varying in production value to accurately represent what I can do.  Not everyone's reel is indicative of their abilities, and there's still so much more I have to show you!

But I'm getting closer.  I believe it.  Once you watch this, maybe you'll believe it too.

The Store

After well over a year of preparation, development, & fund raising, we finally filmed the pilot episode of The Store!!!  Mostly thanks to you.

The cast & crew joined forces for a week in sunny San Diego to make this bad boy a reality.  Set designers, makeup artists, costumers, gaffers, actors, producers, and directors all contributed their talents in the creation of this retail comedy.  The dirty work is done, and now it's in the hands of our editor to shape into a finished product.

We could not have done this without you, and we are so grateful for your donations, love, & support to make this little gem a reality.  More news to come as things progress.
