Due to time constraints & busy Hollywood lives, my audition was hosted briefly in a Starbucks. Granted it was outside under the awning of their patio, but I had a Master of None moment as all of Vine and Sunset blvd. saw me act a fool just to get this part. My HUSTLE GAME is Skrong!

The Ovation Awards!
The Vagrancy's production of 'What of the Night' garnered 3 Ovation Nominations which ushered us into the heart of LA theatre!!!
The Ovation Awards are the only peer-judged theatre awards in Los Angeles, created to recognize excellence in theatrical performance, production, and design in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Since 1989, over 300 theatrical productions have competed each year in 35 different categories to be recognized as Ovation Awards recipients.
Receiving an Ovation Award is a significant point of recognition for LA theatre artists. The LA Times has referred to the Ovation Awards as the “highest-profile contest for local theatre.”
It is an honor and a privilege to garner nominations from fellow artists whom I admire! Theatre companies & theatre artists known for creating profoundly visceral & unapologetic content surrounded me. It meant all the more to know that they saw merit in our work & requested our presence among them. Co-hosts French & Vanessa Claire Stewart took the event by the reins and kept the celebration going. The band was pulled from the CTG production of "Chavez Ravine: An LA Revival" and they kept our hearts lively with the energy they shared. Connections were made, congratulations offered, and the promise of continued creative success resonated for everyone in attendance. It really was a night to remember.

Lynn Manning; on his work & in his passing
"In the Absence of Light" is the final play that Lynn worked on before he passed away earlier this year due to complications with cancer. The rising artistic director, Bruce Lemon, a man among my closest of friends, brought me in on this production as a part of the 2nd Annual Leimert Park Theatre Festival.
Watts Village Theatre Company also won an award from the Sheri & Les Biller Family Foundation at the 2015 LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards, for our production of "It's A Krip Hop Nation" Bruce received the award just prior to a moment of silence in appreciation of all the work that Lynn Manning brought to his theatre, his neighborhood, & his differently-abled communities. The Foundation grant inspires powerful collective action in the pursuit of career development, education, theatre enrichment, & community support. We at Watt's Village & myself, as a member of the cast of "It's A Krip Hop Nation" & other WVTC productions, are grateful for the fiscal support to continue giving back to our community.

Screening of Brix & The Bitch
There is a fair degree of trust that goes into making a film. No matter how fervently one prepares for a role, there is still much left to interpretation by the contributions of the the cast, the director, the cinematographer, the editor, and the design team. Any one person who does not share the common vision could jeopardize the film's intent & overall quality.
A week ago Thursday, my dad joined me as I watched a film that I put my body, heart, and soul into. I trained for this role, rehearsing choreography, & sculpting my body with the little time that I had (still didn't feel like enough!). During a very turbulent time in my life I made this film my first priority. It gave me focus, and I found a calm in the work. So, when I finally saw the premier screening of Brix & the Bitch, I had a chance to appreciate it from a completely different perspective. As an audience member, it was a treat to feel my dad flinch beside me. He'd twist and roll out of the punches I received onscreen. I giggled listening to how the film struck a nerve among the people around me. I knew my contributions to the film, but now I could appreciate the little bits of genius contributed by my peers & respect their ambition in the creation of the final product.
Syncing and stitching the sound to launch your heart on an emotional roller coaster...using effects like slow motion to calmly reveal the poignant pain within the violence, then racking the speed in the other direction to launch into character intent & ferocity. The shots are beautiful, the performances sincere & invested. This film astounds me, and I take great pride in being one of the many pieces to this beautiful cinematic puzzle.
Trapped in a seedy and illegal fight club, one woman's only chance for escape is a gruesome brawl against the one person she refuses to harm.
Twas an honor to work with you all, my friends. You've each shared a gift with your time & your talents.

This play chronicles the lives of two recently disabled performers as they battle ablism in their attempt to break into the mainstream hip‐hop music industry.
Super Sentinel 5
UNITE - LootCrate Theme Video (Power Ranger's Parody)
I will follow Julian Higgins to the ends of the earth. He's one heck of a director and a fantastic dude to boot. Always a PLEASURE to work with my FRIENDS!!! You all astound me.
SUPER SENTINEL 5 is a shout out to the Power Rangers of the 90s, whom we all secretly (and not-so-secretly) adore. It features; Dante Basco, recently known as the voice of Avatar's Zuko. However, I know him best as the first movie star to ever win the love of my prepubescent heart. Ever since Hook, Rufio could crow at my window ANY DaY! Olga Kay, one of the Original Queens of YouTube. Writers & fellow Sentinels Zack Finfrock & Peter Weidman - your brilliant minds tickle me to no end. Again, you all astound me.
It gives so much credence to a little something I've ALWAYS said;
"Work until your Idols become your Rivals - then just absolve the rivalry & get to the Friendship Shenanigans!"
~Alex Marshall-Brown (Yep. I say that ALL the time). ;-)
Everyone involved helped to make this piece of Awesome become a part of my world. Thanx to each and every one of you talented Rapscallions!!
Don't act like you don't want that theme song. It's the hot new ringtone!
Happy Mother's Day, Victoria
Hey Ma!
You weren't around for Mother's Day...So, I made this for Aunty Bobbie instead!
I'm glad you've got yourself a seat with a view. Now, look what I can do!
La Brea Tar Pit & LACMA -May 9, 2015

What games tickle your fancy?
Nomination to St. Tropez Intnl Film Festival
Remember Magic Matty? You know! The Project Greenlight submission a few friends & I made, that launched my friend Nico into becoming one of their Top 10 Finalist?
Well, people other than Matt Damon & Ben Affleck seem to like it too, because I got nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the St. Tropez International Film Festival!!!
That's in FRANCE!
I'll save up my pennies, but I'm not sure I'm able to make it. 'Tis a pleasure to be nominated nonetheless.
Ah, to be in France...
